Goodesign – Sustainable. Modular. Timeless.

Goodesign is a Brooklyn-based studio founded by Emmanuel Popoteur that creates furniture meant to live, evolve, and emotionally resonate.
Their design philosophy centers on sustainability, using recyclable materials like Baltic birch plywood, stainless steel, and aluminum - never plastic - and rejecting waste in favor of longevity. Their modular systems (e.g. Eclipse, Beam) are built to be reconfigured over time to suit changing spaces and lives.

Popoteur’s background is self-taught, born from early experimentation in clothing, skate culture, and DIY architecture.
He aims to bridge the gap between art and utility, creating pieces that are not just seen but lived with.
Beyond furniture, Goodesign has ambitions to expand into experiential design - showrooms, modular hotels, even prefabricated homes - turning the brand into a full lifestyle ecosystem.

I think modularity is the most efficient and responsible way to design furniture, especially in cities. I hate waste – so all my materials are recyclable, and modularity means the pieces can evolve instead of being thrown away
